Spent the last week just waiting for the exchange of contracts on our much delayed house sale. On Friday morning this happened at last. The downside of the delay is that we have to leave here by midday next Friday 11th as our buyers mortgage offer runs out on 14th and there is no chance of an extension in the current climate. The good news for us is after a frantic afternoon on Friday we have found a flat that we can move to hopefully on Thursday this week. We await reference checks tomorrow to confirm the tenancy.
