Firstly let us apologise for the delay in updating this blog as I am sure you have been waiting expectantly for the latest news. It is not easy to get an internet connection in a remote Pyrennees valley where even a mobile signal is all but non-existant. We travelled from Haro on Sunday morning not too far to Osaba in Navarra close to the French border.
A nice campsite in a pine wood. The washrooms were interesting with cold showers only for the men and you were sharing them with the moth population of the Roncal valley. We got some walking in although not as much as we hoped, it is not a well walked region and we had to forge new routes every day. We spent an interesting half day hopping backwards and forwards over the border on one walk. Spanish maps are not OS quality, lots of compass work. We had a companion on one day - Paul foolishly talked to a dog and it spent the whole day walking with us thats 6 hours before disappearing a kilometre from our car.
